"Dorset House provided us with the perfect location for our wedding. It's a beautiful manor with attached barns, lovely gardens and fantastic views. Set at the end of a little lane and in an amazing location. "

"Susan Quinn's overall planning and catering is second to none "

Hello, I'm Susan Quinn, and above is a selection of some of the many wonderful letters I receive from our Brides and Grooms. I have had the pleasure of fifteen plus years of wonderful weddings, realising the dreams of our couples. I am a qualified chef, classically trained at the Berkeley Hotel in London’s Knightsbridge. My wonderful team and I have one aim, that is to give you the best wedding you could dream of.

I am the in house caterer at two venues, but can also cater at any venue of your choice and for whatever function or celebration. Both venues are located within the bounds of the beautiful South Downs in West Sussex.

The Great Barn at Dorset House is located in the village of Bury. Originally built in the 1500's, this is a beautiful venue steeped in history and set in 40 acres, with views over the River Arun. The Great Barn is constructed from half hammer beams with a purpose built dance floor, open log fire, and massive doors opening on to the gardens - perfect for summer or winter weddings. The Lower Garden adjacent to the Barn, has a beautiful pond, edged with willow trees and gently sloping terraces leading down to the river. A unique feature of the venue is the Amphitheatre, which makes an attractive setting for an outdoor blessing. Together with the medieval walled garden, the Great Barn at Dorset House is a beautiful venue for your special day.  The venue can accommodate up to 260 guests and is licensed for civil ceremonies.

Eartham House is situated to the southern end of the hamlet of Eartham. The first reference to the establishment of a residence at Eartham was in 1743 when Thomas Hayley purchased a small estate from the heirs of Sir Robert Fag in order to build a house for his summer retirement. After his death in 1775, the house was occupied by his son William Hayley who was a poet. The House, which has been the home of Great Ballard School for the last forty years, is a magnificent country house set in 30 acres of glorious countryside. There are extensive views to the south coast and Chichester. The house still has many Regency features, but was extensively enlarged and remodelled by the famous architect, Sir Edwin Lutyens, at the beginning of the twentieth century. Up to 140 guests can be seated in the house for dining in the elegant rooms. One of the rooms accommodates a dance floor. Canapes can be served in the adjoining conservatory. This venue offers a special day set against a romantic Regency backdrop.
